July 25, 2019, was the second day of the assembly fitters and welders skills test for 'Silver Flame Machinery'. The morning was sunny, but by the afternoon it turned from clear to partly cloudy, with a gentle breeze occasionally blowing.

Around one in the afternoon, the masters cleared the testing area early, transporting the necessary materials with a cart, and set up large fans around the area, waiting for the test to begin.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the skills test began on time. The three masters methodically collected materials, measured, and marked lines. They must have summarized the experiences of the previous masters and done some homework themselves!

Time passed second by second, and sweat soaked the masters' clothes, but they did not utter a word of complaint. Occasionally, they would stop to think about what to do next, and sometimes they would check each other's progress and encourage one another. With years of experience, they all completed the test within two hours.

The skills test is not for assessment, but to summarize and apply the experiences accumulated over time. It is also a process for the masters to learn from each other, finding methods that suit themselves, so they can skillfully apply them in future work.

As the saying goes, 'Women are no less than men'. On Friday, our four female welding masters will take the test. I believe they will not disappoint us, so let's look forward to their wonderful performance together!
