The morning meeting of Yangzhou Yinyan Machinery Co., Ltd. was held on time at 8 a.m. The regular meeting was co-hosted by the manufacturing department head Wei Lixin and workshop director Jin Hailin, with the company’s general manager Wei Wei attending in person.
In addition to the routine work arrangements, the meeting emphasized the safety production issues under the recent continuous high temperatures. First, Minister Wei stated that in response to the ongoing high temperatures, in addition to the regular heat prevention and cooling medicines already distributed, the company has also prepared barley tea, mung bean soup, and cold drinks for each employee to ensure the normal operation of work in high-temperature weather.
General Manager Wei Wei also made important instructions regarding the safety production issues in the workshop during the 'Three Fu Days':
1. Electrical safety: In summer, people wear light clothing and sweat, increasing the risk of electric shock. Power should be cut off in a timely manner when leaving the site to avoid accidents caused by high temperatures or electric leakage.
2. Safety of pressure vessels: High-pressure gases expand in volume at high temperatures, and in severe cases, explosions can occur, causing casualties and property losses. Therefore, the use and storage of pressure vessels during summer operations are very important.
3. Wearing personal protective equipment: One should not give up wearing protective equipment just because it feels hotter; this will only make accidents more serious.
4. Fire safety: Summer weather is dry, and the risk of fire hazards increases. Implement various fire prevention systems, ensure that fire-fighting equipment is fully equipped, prohibit unauthorized wiring, and strengthen the storage and management of flammable and explosive materials.
